About Massage

Therapeutic massage is a remedial type of massage and combines three different types of massage: swedish, sports and myofascial release.  Therapeutic massage involves manipulating the muscles and other soft tissues of the body to help relieve myofascial pain, break down scar tissue, relieve trigger points (knots), relax muscle spasms and release tight muscles to help restore muscle function.

Therapeutic massage is a holistic therapy which means that it treats the whole body, not just the area of injury.  This is important as pain from an injury is often referred to another part of the body and other issues often occur due to overcompensation.
